Revortex designs and manufactures advanced hydraulic accumulators.
WHY CHOOSE REVORTEX HYDRAULIC PISTON ACCUMULATORS?
Very low gas permeation
Very low nitrogen loss
Superior resistance to low and high temperatures
Superior resistance to pressure peaks
Superior resistance to sudden temperature changes
Higher flow rate than diaphragm accumulators
AND MORE
+ HIGH COMPRESSION RATIO (OVER 1:10)
+ VOLUMES CONFIGURABLE WITH MACHINERY SPACES
+ MOUNTING IN ANY POSITION
The metal piston is not subject to modification over time and the seals are compensating. It is not affected by expansion or contraction due to temperature.
Why are membrane or bladder accumulators subject to elastic variations due to wear and tear (aging), loss of elasticity, and increased permeation?
Why are they subject to pressure variations as a function of temperature?
The thermal expansion coefficient of metals is approximately 10 times lower than that of elastomers.
Heat accelerates the aging process of elastomers, which normally manifests as a progressive increase in the hardness of the elastic modulus, with the associated loss of elastic properties.
At high temperatures, all elastomers lose stiffness and tend to become soft and flexible. This is the phenomenon of thermal expansion (DILATATION).
The thermal expansion coefficient of elastomers is, in fact, much higher than that of metals (about ten times).
